I live near the small lakeside town of Port Perry, Ontario where I grew up filling sketch books along the wooded trails of my rural home. As a quiet creative observer, I have always been deeply connected to nature and the rhythm of our four seasons. My parents were onsite caretakers and stewards of a 400 acre forested estate and hobby farm on the Oak Ridges Moraine where I spent my childhood mostly outdoors playing and exploring, fuelling my imagination and creativity. After graduating from the University of Toronto, I returned to my home town exploring different mediums with local artists to feed my creative side during my 35 year career in health and while raising my family.

Fast forward many years and I’m still in awe of the natural places where I live and play. I create in acrylic, watercolour, and mixed media using a natural earth colour palette. I create for personal joy, growth and fulfillment working from my riverside studio which overlooks a significant wetland habitat area that I’m grateful to call home. My work is deeply connected to this place and gently echoes the outdoors.

When I’m not in my studio creating, I can be found in my gardens or out with my dogs and family active on the trails, slopes and shores of Lake Scugog and Georgian Bay.
